You should implement your own cryptographic software.

In the light of recent revelations about the NSA subverting encryption standards and software, perhaps it is wrong to think people shouldn’t write their own implementation of proven cryptography. There ought to be  guidelines, but I think it is best to write it on your own from scratch.

If you are more paranoid, you should write it in a simple language like scheme for which you can write your own compiler.

Instead of forging your own hardware, perhaps you should just write your own VM to run your own compiled scheme.

That’s the only way to be sure that the math is running the way it should.
