Satire: The Ultimate Sacred Cow

If you want to make irrational arguments or attack ideas without being attacked, use satire. Satire is immune to criticism. If enough people laugh along, it is impossible to come up with a rational argument against it without being ridiculed and ignored.

Say I imply in my own satirical performance that 1 + 1 = 3. Of course this would involve saying statements like 1 + 1 = 2 in a satirical tone with accompanied by mindless laughter from unthinking drones. It would be impossible to argue that 1 + 1 is not 3 because the performer actually said it was 2 while implying that it wasn’t.

Once you ridicule and portray the other side as incompetent and stupid, no one will listen to it, even when the other side is arguing rationally.
