Dealing with Hunger Strikers

The unnamed premise of hunger strikers is that, the moral stature of one person can be damaged by the actions of another.

Unfortunately, it cannot be done. That which is outside the province of choice is outside the province of morality. I cannot choose what another person does. Perhaps he might threaten to commit suicide, perhaps he might threaten to kill innocents, if I do not give him what he wants. But his actions have no effect on what I am.
