Reading Ayn Rand’s Mind

When the American Theocratic Party gave their first book recommendation: Ayn Rand’s “Atlas Shrugged”, they had falsely thought Ayn was one of their own. Little did they know that Ayn has never endorsed irrational self-interest, of the likes practised by American conservatives today. She stood for rational self-interest. She would definitely be against governments which use one among a multitude of mutually contradicting religious (im)moral precepts to inform their decisions, because she was an atheist and endorsed reason. She would be definitely against governments that choose to destroy the environment and put an end to all self-interests.

I have started to love Ayn’s philosophy. If old time right wingers like her ran the right wing parties of this world, I would be one of them. Ayn Rand is the way right wingers should be.

I got a book recommendation for the American Theocratic Party. The book is called Ayn Rand’s “Atlas Shrugged”.
